17-year-old Braden Waterman was the quarterback for the Paso Robles High School Bearcats back in September of 2019 when he began to struggle with nightly high fevers and other symptoms that affected his ability to play the sport he loved. His doctors began searching for answers, and it wasn't until January 1, 2020 that they discovered what was wrong. Braden had no idea that his life was about to change in every way.
Braden was diagnosed with Stage 3B Hodgkins Lymphoma and he began his battle with cancer. While keeping a positive attitude and his faith strong, Braden beat cancer after four months of treatment. His story didn't end there though. In October of 2020 he received the news that the cancer was back. It was a dark time for Braden and his family. However, Braden knows when you're in the darkest of places - that is when your faith must be stronger than ever. So he and his family fought even harder again. Braden viewed this trial as an opportunity to grow even closer to God.
In the summer of 2021, Braden's dream of getting back on the football field cancer free had became a reality. He had a standout Senior year at Bakersfield Christian High School that fortuitously led to him Ole Miss to continue his football career and pursue a business degree. He enjoyed living life as a normal teenager until late in his Freshman year of college when he began feeling ill. Doctors confirmed the cancer had returned yet again. Although he went through treatment during the summer and fall of 2023, it proved to be not enough. When he relapsed again in February of 2024, this time Braden knew he would have to pursue a much more aggressive treatment. He is now scheduled for a stem-cell transplant in the spring of 2024.
Filmed in fall of 2022 - Braden's Freshman year at Ole Miss, and before his 3rd relapse in July of 2023. To say he has been through an incredibly tough journey with his cancer beginning in 2020 is an understatement. His ability to remain faithful and strong throughout the past 4 years is a true testament to his remarkable fortitude and relationship with God.
In July 2024, Braden walked out of the Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis after his successful stem cell transplant. Three months later on October 29, the day of his birthday - Braden was declared CANCER FREE!!
Braden being the high-achiever that he is, wanted to work at putting his time off the field towards something positive. He decided to put his new business knowledge to work to not only help manage the out-of-pocket expenses incurred for his treatment, but to create a movement to inspire others to choose faith instead of giving into fear. He also wanted to build a business that could help support others going through treatment in the future. Every product purchased will help spread the message of faith and the proceeds will go towards supporting Braden in his own battle. As the brand grows, he hopes to use proceeds to support others battling cancer too.
We hope you'll join in the movement with us!
